Stand out of the Crowd by being recognized as a CERTIFIED Risk Management Expert with ARiMI

Certification processes are impartial, third party endorsements of an individual’s level of competence in a particular field of expertise. As in today’s globalized world people move more frequently between jobs, employers even industries and geographical locations, certifications have grown in importance over the past two decades as a reliable way to validate an individual’s competencies.

Get Recognized as an Expert in Enterprise Risk Management and Risk Decision-Making.

Résumés/CVs may list your knowledge and experience in risk management, but an ARiMI professional certification that you can carry after your name proves it. By obtaining an ARiMI certification, risk professionals will demonstrate their expertise and high degrees of professional competency in the Risk Management field.

ARiMI Certification Process Excellence is ensured by combining 4 key fundamental components: First, giving due credit to the professional experience accumulated; Second, by acquiring needed risk knowledge as defined in ARiMI Professional Learning and Competency Standards that must also be validated by passing an exam; Third, by committing to follow ARiMI Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct and finally Fourth, by encouraging a commitment to Continuing Professional Development. ARiMI whole Certification approach is described below:

ARiMI’s certifications set the bar high in order to ensure the highest level of professional competency standards for practicing risk professionals. Hence ARiMI Certifications provide assurance to employers that you have what it takes to add value to their organization. ARiMI Certifications give you the credibility you need to be effective in your work and move ahead in your career.

Watch the video below to learn why acquiring competencies in Risk Management and earning a Certification with ARiMI can benefit You and Your Organization.

What does it mean to be COMPETENT?

People are considered to be competent when they are able to apply their knowledge and skills to successfully complete their work activities, in the widest range of expected and unexpected situations, to the standard of performance expected for the position they have in a given organization.

In today global and volatile world, high standards of competence are essential to ensure the effective management of risks and opportunities in organisations. As the leading professional research and educational body for risk management in Asia, ARiMI has taken a leading role to set the appropriate ARiMI LECP™ Risk Professional Learning and Competency Standards to nurture effective risk managers and leaders.

ARIMI LECP™ Risk Professional Learning and Competency Standards are grounded on the understanding that in a world full of Uncertainties, managing risks & opportunity effectively means that above all, organizations NEED their PEOPLE to be able to make sound Strategic & Operational DECISIONS in order to achieve DESIRED business OBJECTIVES. Therefore, it is critical to identify, understand and manage appropriately the key FACTORS – both personal to the decision-maker & contextual (this includes an organization internal and external context) – that support SOUND Strategic & Operational DECISION-MAKING. For that purpose, ARIMI professional standards are organized into 2 complementary learning streams that focus on those key factors as described below:

As described above, LECP is the abbreviation for Risk LEADERS, EXPERTS, CHAMPIONS and PROFESSIONAL that constitute the four essential dimensions of Risk Management Knowledge and Skills needed by risk professionals, each focusing on delivering critical learning objectives highly relevant for organizations. ARiMI Professional Standards define the body of expertise that professionals should aim to acquire in order to build the competencies necessary to manage risk effectively and deliver effective performance for their organizations. The Standards can also be used by organizations to assess their staff’s current level of knowledge and skills maturity in risk management, identify gaps and chart a learning development plan to cover them.

ARiMI LECP™ Professional Learning & Competency Standards provide the basis for the framework for ARiMI’s certifications. The 2 learning streams of the professional standards are validated by 2 complementary Professional Certifications that tailor for the different priorities of professionals in organisations. Depending on your priorities and career plan, you can choose to follow either:

  • The Certified Professional Risk Manager – ARiMI-CPRM™ (developing competencies of decision-makers) or
  • The Certified Enterprise-wide Risk Manager – ARiMI-CERM™ (strengthening the Organization ERM systems & culture)

Those 2 learning streams will help you to build the knowledge and skills necessary to support your specific career and personal development needs to create value for your organization. If you wish to acquire a more in-depth and more complete mastery of the entire Risk Management field, you need to aim to complete both learning streams and associated Professional Certifications.

The ARiMI Certifications framework provides a learning and competencies development roadmap that culminates with the Fellow in Strategic Risk Management (ARiMI-FSRM™) Designation, which you can strive to pursue when you have successfully attained both ARiMI-CPRM™ and ARiMI-CERM™ Certifications.

Besides the main ARiMI-CPRM™ and ARiMI-CERM™ Certifications, the ARiMI Certifications framework also includes 4 Specialised Certifications (CCRO™, CCMP™, CRA™ and CPRP™) that aim to answer the specific learning needs of various professionals and focus on specific areas covered under the 2 main learning streams of ARIMI LECP™ Professional Learning & Competency standards such as for example, compliance, risk assessment, project management and so on. ARiMI full Certifications Roadmap framework is described below:
