SENIOR ANALYST, ENTERPRISE RISK MANAGEMENT - posted 12 March 09:

SPC has an opportunity for a self-driven, enthusiastic and adaptable individual to be part of its Risk Group (RG).  Led by the Group’s Chief Risk Officer (CRO), the successful incumbent will report to the Manager, Risk and work closely with members of the Risk Group in the:

• Review of SPC’s Operational Risk Management.  This includes reviewing and enhancing the Company’s risk register, assessing, monitoring and reporting the risk management performance of the Company’s business, operational and financial activities.
• Analysis and monitoring of SPC’s enterprise risk portfolio.  This includes reviewing the Company’s Enterprise Risk Management framework and processes for continued enhancements.
• Preparation and presentation of reports on risk management performance to SPC’s Management Team and Board Risk Committee.

Pre-requisites

• Degree in Finance or Business related discipline. Professional qualifications or certifications in Risk Management disciplines such as Enterprise Risk Management, Financial Risk Management will be preferred.
• 3 – 5 years of experience in financial and operational risk management processes.
• Strong background in financial risk management models and measurements such as earnings at risk, cash flow at risk and VAR. Experience in capital investment reviews and project due diligence will be advantageous.
• A self starter with excellent communication skills and who is confident and comfortable to assist the Risk Group in facilitating discussions on risk management and control issues with SPC Management Team and Board Risk Committee.
• Work experience in energy/ financial industry or in a CPA firm will be an advantage.
