CM 1 - Developing and Implementing
a Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity Plan
Disasters may strike an organization when least expected. Recent events,
such as the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center in New York
City, the Bali bombing and the SARS outbreak, have alerted organizations
to the adverse impact a disaster can have on their business. Have
you ever considered, given the above scenarios, how your business
will be able to carry on with minimum disruptions to your operations?
What about your brand equity, shareholder value and market share?
Would these be affected? How do you reduce your organization’s
vulnerability to terrorism and computer viruses?
This seminar will teach you how to recognize the threats that your
organization faces and enables you to develop and respond with the
actual disaster recovery and business continuity plan.
Who Should Attend?
Whether you are entirely new to business continuity and disaster recovery
planning, or whether you already have a proven and established plan,
this workshop will provide you with fresh insights and new methodologies.

CM 2 - Crisis Management Workshop
Most managers and executives in all levels of the organization have
to manage small crises on an ongoing, say weekly basis. However, their
skills are tested to the utmost when they are faced with major crises
that have the potential to disrupt the organization's income sources,
operating expenses, stock price, competitive position and ongoing
business.
This two-day seminar focuses on techniques for preventing and managing
internal business crisis situations. The most effective crisis management
occurs when potential crises are detected and dealt with quickly--before
they can impact the organization's business. In those instances, they
never come to the attention of the organization's key stakeholders
or the general public via the news media. Another subject is how to
gain and maintain top management support for crisis management when
the organization has no crisis.
The Course emphasizes realistic problem solving and the importance
of hands-on experience in preventing or controlling crisis situations.
Participants work on four exercises based on actual business crisis
events.
Who Should Attend?
Business owners, managing directors, senior management, risk managers
and executives whose jobs involve risk management.

CM 3 - Crisis Communication Workshop
Whatever you do, wherever you work, one day, there will be a crisis!
Major crisis often involve victims and unwanted media coverage. And
in your position, you may have to communicate about a real crisis
situation. And for everyone involved, especially you, it will be a
frustrating, perplexing and confusing experience. In a crisis, you
can expect to be deluged by the media, clients, victims, government
agencies, special interest groups and even your colleagues. Also,
you will be expected to come up with an immediate, accurate, compassionate
and believable communications plan just as the media and public are
beginning to descend upon you. However, through forward planning,
being adequately prepared and understanding the essentials of crisis
communications, you will be able to successfully undertake crisis
communications for your organization. This two-day seminar provides
the techniques and training in developing people who can effectively
communicate with the various groups of internal and external stakeholders
immediately, while limiting collateral damage.

CM 4 - Manage and Control Everyday Conflicts and
Crisis Situations
Work and everyday life is bringing us in contact with all kinds of
people from insolent teenagers, frustrated colleagues to an angry
boss and aggressive customers. We could be confronted with different
situations, from interacting with a victim of accident in a state
of shock, facing some aggressive and insulting behavior, confronting
unruly crowds or groups of people/clients, etc. In fact, it can happen
anywhere; at work, in the MRT, on the streets, in a shop and even
at home. Those are examples of places where they can be, at certain
times, occasions for aggressions, fighting, abuse, insult, deterioration
of relationships and accumulation of frustrations.
Statistically, very few of us will lose our life. However, most of
us will have to bear unnecessary tensions, accumulate deep frustrations
and will lose in the process, time, money, friends and clients. The
end result is often dramatically negative for our life with destroyed
self-confidence, lack of enthusiasm and low productivity at work,
and deteriorated relationships at home.
This workshop presents a series of everyday situations and proposes
a practical framework to enlarge the scope and possibilities of responses
to help prevent those crisis or conflict situations from escalating.
It revolves around a few axes:
| 1. |
Building and keeping self-control through a better
understanding of ourselves |
| 2. |
Mastering our communication towards others during conflicts |
| 3. |
Understanding the logic of situation of conflicts in human relationships |
