ARM EXAM FORMAT
All of the 85 objective/multiple choice questions include four alternative
answers from which students must select the one correct or best
response.
The time for a pre-exam tutorial, as well as a brief survey at the end of the
exam, is in addition to the two hours allocated for the exam itself.

REGISTERING FOR AND SCHEDULING YOUR ARM
EXAMINATION
ARM exams need not be taken in sequence from ARM54 to ARM56 though this
is encouraged. Students can take any of the ARM exams within an exam window.
More than one exam can also be taken within the same window.
Upcoming exam windows: 15 April-15 June 2008; 15 July-15 August 2008; 15 October-15 December 2008; 15 January-15 March
2009.
Available exam slots: 10.00am-noon and 2.00-4.00pm on selected days open by the Institute.
For candidates who self-study
To register and schedule your exam, contact the Asian Risk Management Institute,
the official testing center in Singapore, at 65-6337-0774 or complete the online
ARM Exam Registration
Form to choose your preferred exam date and time.
For candidates who attend ARiMI Exam Preparation Class
If you are a student in our
Exam Preparation Class, we will have your information
ready and you can inform us of your preferred exam date and time by the second
session of the class.

PAYMENT FOR ARM EXAM
After you have registered for an ARM exam, we will send you a payment notice.
If you are self-funded, you can pay by check or telegraphic transfer (T/T). If you
are sponsored by your company, we can invoice the company for prompt payment.
Payment is due immediately upon receipt of invoice and must be made
before exam appointment.

EXAMINATION CONFIRMATION NOTICE
Within 10 working days after you have paid for the exam, we will email you a
confirmation notice to confirm your exam date and time. Please verify your
name on the exam confirmation notice and bring the notice on the exam date.

AT THE TESTING CENTER ON EXAM DATE, PRIOR
TO TAKING YOUR EXAMINATION
- You must present valid, unexpired identification that contains your
photograph. Your name on the photo identification must match your name as
it appears on the confirmation notice. Contact the Institute at least one week
prior to your appointment if you have any questions about proper ID.
- Arrive at the testing center 15 minutes before your appointment time.
If you arrive more than 30 minutes after your appointment time, you may be denied
admission.
- Do not have anyone accompany you to the exam center. Visitors may
not wait in the testing center.

DURING YOUR EXAMINATION
- Smoking is prohibited in the testing center.
- Cellular phones, pagers, personal digital assistants (PDAs), food, and drinks
- as well as papers and books - are prohibited during the exam. All personal
articles must be placed under the table.
- Scratch paper and pencils will be provided by and must be returned to the exam
administrator.
- Any quiet, nonprinting calculator, except one having alphabetic keys for the
purpose of entering letters or words, may be used during the exam.
Business/financial calculators that meet these criteria are also permitted.
- During the exam session, you may not communicate with anyone other than the
exam administrator, nor may you consult any notes, books, or study materials.
- You should check to be sure that all questions are answered before terminating
your exam. A computer exam cannot be restarted.

EXAMINATION GRADING, GRADE REPORTS
After you have terminated the exam, your exam will be graded immediately. A
“P” (Passing), or “N” (Nonpassing) grade will be shown on the computer screen. So you will know your result immediately.
The cut-off is 70% of 85 questions for each ARM exam.
Approximately three to four weeks after the exam, you will receive an official notification
of your exam result.

WHAT IF YOU FAIL?
Should you fail to pass an exam, you can re-register for the same exam within
the same exam window or at any time in the future. Just register using the
ARM Exam Registration
Form and pay the exam fee.
You might also consider attending the
Exam Preparation
Class offered by the Asian Risk Management Institute before attempting
the exam again. This class will help you understand the course materials and
should increase your chances in passing the exam.

RESCHEDULING, TRANSFERRING, OR CANCELING
YOUR EXAM
You may reschedule or cancel your examination registrations by following the
instructions below. If you do not make any change to your existing exam
appointment and fail to take the exam as scheduled, no transfer, refund, or
credit of any of the fees will be given.
Rescheduling your Examination within the Same Exam
Window
You can reschedule your exam appointment within the same exam window
at no charge, subject to space availability. Rescheduling must be done
at least three working days prior to your appointment. Otherwise, your
request to reschedule cannot be processed and all fees will be forfeited if
you do not take the exam as scheduled.
To reschedule within the same exam window, complete the
Change Exam Appointment
Form.
Transferring your Examination to the Next Exam
Window
You can reschedule and transfer your exam to the next exam window by
paying a S$185 fee.
Follow these steps:
- Cancel your existing exam registration and appointment. Inform the
Asian Risk Management center by completing the
Change Exam Appointment
Form at least three working days prior to your appointment.
Otherwise, your cancellation request cannot be processed and all fees will
be forfeited if you do not take the exam as scheduled.
- Make a new exam appointment for the next exam window and pay the
transfer fee. In the Change
Exam Appointment Form, you can specify a new exam appointment in
the next exam window. You will then be contacted for payment of the
required S$162 transfer fee. A new exam appointment must be done prior
to the close of the exam window for which you originally registered.
- Receive a new Examination Confirmation Notice after you have
successfully transferred your appointment and paid the transfer fee.
Canceling your Examination Registration without
Rescheduling It
If you cancel your exam without rescheduling, you will not get a refund but
will be eligible for a S$100 fee credit by following the steps below. When a
credit is granted, it can be used toward a future exam registration fee. If
you do not follow those steps, no credit will be granted.
- Cancel your existing exam registration and appointment.
Inform the Asian Risk Management center by completing the
Change Exam Appointment
Form at least three working days prior to your appointment.
Otherwise, your cancellation request cannot be processed and all fees will
be forfeited if you do not take the exam as scheduled.
- Receive a confirmation email stating the S$100 fee credit from ARiMI
within 3 working days.
- Present the above email when applying your credit to a future exam.
