The Enterprise Risk Manager (ERM^TM) designations is awarded by the Asian Risk Management Institute (ARiMI) in association with National University of Singapore (NUS) who is awarding a Professional Diploma in Enterprise Risk Planning and Management. The ERM programme provide a comprehensive and structured learning path consists of 2 levels as follows:

Level 1: CPRM Certification
To lay the strong foundations for a comprehensive knowledge in Risk Management and master the Risk Decision-Making process.

Level 2: Diploma
To Build a comprehensive Enterprise wide perspective on on key risks, compliance, governance issues and develop the skill to implement ERM effectivelly.

The whole programme is designed to meet the most demanding needs of a wide range of Risk Management Professionals by delivering a integrated, cross-disciplinary understanding of key risk management issues and to equip decision-makers with methodologies, tools and best-practices applicable regardless of industry backgrounds. These are essential for an organization’s survival and growth in an increasingly complex and volatile business environment.

Programme Contents

The basis for the ERM^TM & Professional Diploma Programme is a problem-solving approach emphasizing practical applications by using real-life business case studies. The programme provide a comprehensive and structured learning path consists of:

1. Core certificate modules laying strong foundations for a comprehensive knowledge in Risk Management Decision-Making process,
2. Core diploma modules building an Enterprise wide perspective of key risk, compliance, governance issues and
3. Elective modules covering and deepening specific areas of interests.

1 - Upgrade ERM^TM & Professional Diploma:
Current CPRM graduates(prior to July 2008) seeking Diploma accreditation are required to:

1. Attend all three core diploma modules (CDM1 to CDM3) - 3 days
2. Attend 2 groups of Elective Modules (EDM1 & 2 and EDM5 &6) – 4 days
3. Pass successfully the required exam

The Sit-in exam consists of Forty Five questions (multiple-choice) and is administered onsite at the Asian Risk Management Institute. The time allotted is one hour and fifteen minutes.

Thanks to the MODULAR structure of the program, candidates seeking accreditation and who wish to have more time flexibility to combine work and learning can spread and attend all core and elective modules over a six (6) to nine (9) months period. Then they will have another 6 months to conduct the dissertation/Field Study and submit it to the institute. Programme Award

Upon completion of the requirements for the Diploma Level i.e. modules attendance, electives, Project/dissertation & exam, candidates will be awarded the professional designation and Diploma:

• Professional Diploma in Enterprise Risk Planning and Management by NUS Extension

Training Method, Formats and Trainers

All course modules are conducted using a unique workshop format that fosters interaction, knowledge sharing and experiential learning. It involves a balanced mix of:

• fondamental lectures with effective supporting materials;
• interactive case presentations;
• group discussions and sharing of experience;
• problem-solving exercises including computer aided workshops;
• case simulations with 'role plays';

All with a clear focus on real Risk Management issues in an Asian context.

1 - The ERM^TMProgram is eligible for funding of 70% of course fee (capped at SGD 5,000) under the FSDF Financial Training Scheme (FTS) for financial sector organizations.

2 - The Course Fee for the ERM^TM programme is eligible for SDF funding for SMEs. 

3 - Special 10% Group discount on Course Fees available for 3 or more participants (from same organization) registering and paying at the same time.
