For nearly 40 years, NUS Extension has provided lifelong learning opportunities to more than 100,000 individuals. Many of our students have gone on to become more successful career professionals and more skilful knowledge workers.

NUS extension has a long tradition of excellence in continuing education and has grown and developed our capability as a centre of lifelong learning in Singapore.

In 2003, NUS Extension got a new name and a new mission.

NUS Extension intends to contribute more effectively to tertiary and post-tertiary level professional edcuation. NUS Extension are leveraging extensively on the substantial academic teaching resources at NUS to access the most current content for professional and management education, and the best methods for thinking and learning skills.

NUS Extension will continue to recruit the most capable external teaching resources locally and internationally, to deliver programmes and courses relevant to the needs of industry, small and medium enterprises, and the individual learner.

NUS Extension and ARiMI have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding(MOU) on Wednesday, 3 March 2004 , to establish a framework for both institutions to pursue common interests in training and further education in risk management. For more information on the MOU please click here.
